London in 1927 & 2013 15 Jan 2014

During the 1920s, cinematographer Claude Friese-Greene shot some of the most stunning images of London.These were recently revived and restored by the BFI and shared via social media and video websites.

In 2013, Simon Smith reproduced each piece of footage using modern equivalents of Friese-Greene's camera and lenses. The video below displays them side-by-side, revealing "how little London has changed":
