McDonald's Fresh Salad Billboard 1 May 2013
In an attempt to promote their new salads and "healthier" menu, fast-food chain McDonald's grew a lettuce garden on a Chicago billboard, spelling out the phrase, "Fresh Salads". As a result, sales in the market area increased by 30%, with more than 546,000 salads sold! Watch the time-lapse video below to see the green ad space in action.
