"Reaction [beta]"

Streetpong 7 Sep 2012

Sandro Engel and Holger Michel have come up with this ingenious idea to pass the time whilst waiting at pedestrian crossings. The two students from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HAWK) in Hildesheim, Germany have created a game of "Street Pong"—based on one of the earliest arcade video games, Atari Pong—and hooked it up to the crossing signals. When the light is red, you can challenge someone to a quick game on the opposite side of the street.

(German with English subtitles).
