Wow! Jinha Lee and Cati Boulanger, former intern and researcher respectively, at Microsoft Applied Sciences have combined a transparent OLED screen from Samsung with a series of sensors and thrown is some custom software that shunts your keyboard to the back of the screen. The result: A means of reaching inside the virtual desktop!
(The aforementioned sensors even detect where your head is in relation to the screen - correcting the depth accordingly - so as to maintain proper perspective.)
