Nest: The Learning Thermostat 27 Oct 2011

Meet Nest, "the world's first learning thermostat".

According to the blurb on its website (and this video), Nest learns from your manual temperature adjustments, programs itself to keep you comfortable and guides you towards energy savings. (And you can control it from anywhere using a smartphone, tablet or laptop.)

Note: Nest's staff includes members of the team that designed/built the iPod and iPhone.
