Project Aura is a low maintenance bicycle safety system that increases "the visual footprint of bikers from all directions". It accomplishes this by emitting light (via RGB LEDs) from inside your bike's wheel rims.
Rather brilliantly, the colour of the light changes in response to fluctuations in your speed - so while the light is white at cruising speed, it switches to red when you slow down!
