Looking into the Past 26 Feb 2010

In an inspired project, photographer Jason Powell set about sourcing images from yesteryear, holding the print up in the modern day location where the original photograph was taken before reshooting it.

Our personal favourite has to be the photo of a woman taking her pet rabbit (!) for a walk in Thomas Circle, Washington DC. With the exception of the statue of civil war hero George Henry Thomas, the surrounding area has changed out of all recognition.
