Outerspace is robotic creature that - with the help of some photo sensors embedded in its "head" and some capacitory sensors embedded in its body - is able to respond to human movement and body contact in an animal-like fashion. According to its inventors - Andre Stubbe and Markus Lerner of the Berlin University of the Arts - its motivation is curiosity, the desire to explore the surrounding space looking for contact.
