Scope: Augmented Reality Toys 11 Aug 2009

Frantz Lasorne's "Scope" augmented reality display breathes new life into old toys. It works like so: You take an old toy and mount it on a specially-designed hexagon-covered platform...which, when viewed through Scope, turns into a series of buttons. Pressing these buttons thereafter causes virtual modifications to be made to the toy. For example, a Lego person can be instantly armed with a giant virtual bazooka (as the video above shows)!
