Zygotes: Interactive beach balls 2 Jul 2009

Tangible Interaction's Zygotes are lightweight helium filled orbs (think beach balls) that respond to human touch - changing colour and generating different sounds as they are punched, tapped, slapped or squeezed. The video above shows the crowd at ACM SIGGRAPH Vancouver playing around with them. (They've also appeared at a Chemical Brothers pre-show in Bucharest)
