The Mir:ror from Violet lets your computer interact with objects. The $29.95 kit consists of a "mirror" (which is essentially just an RFID reader that connects to your PC via USB) and some RFID stamps (called "ztamps").
It works like so: You attach the ztamps to the objects you want your computer to interact with and then place them on the mirror. This registers them with your PC and opens up a wizard tool that allows you to define how your computer should respond to their presence when they are placed on the mirror thereafter.
So what? Well, this opens up some interesting possibilities. For example, you could make your umbrella open a web page that delivers the weather forecast in your area; have your pill box keep a record of the medication you've taken; make a photo of your parents open up the family photo album you have stored on your machine...and so on.
