Fitness First's bus stop 12 Mar 2009

Thanks to Fitness First, those who wait at this bus stop in Rotterdam are confronted with their weight. (That's right, the bench in the shelter acts as a scale that transmits the weight of anyone who sits on it to the embarassingly large electronic display embedded in the adjacent billboard).

What a great campaign...however, it probably makes travellers lives a misery in reality, since it's a sure-fire way to ensure that everyone will stand (even when they could really do with a sit down).

...If they created a version for train platforms they could call it the "rail-weigh station". Budum-tish! Thanks folks, we're here all week!
