Android G2: Close to Perfection? 18 Feb 2009

Check out the video clip above to see Gizmodo review Android G2 (i.e. version 2.0) on Vodafone's HTC Magic and conclude that it is "close to perfection".

...Actually, they conclude that Android G2, to paraphrase, is "close to perfection apart from some pretty major gripes about the user interface"...namely, the on-screen keyboard is too cramped and its keys flash in a highly distracting manner when pressed.

These comments strike us as a little strange, because if there's one thing we know about the success of the iPhone, it's that user interface is everything. Therefore, it's hard to see how you can describe Android G2 as "close to perfection" when it is afflicted by some major user interface flaws (?!)

...Anyway, the handset sure does look pretty...
