Flat Bulb 10 Nov 2008

Every couple of weeks or so someone attempts to re-invent the humble light bulb. Joonhuyn Kim is the latest to have a go with his "Flat Bulb".
...And it's a very good attempt. Why? Because unlike the traditional round lightbulbs, the Flat Bulb won't roll away on you and is much easier to stack, store, ship and display. It also looks cool. There is a downside though...and it's a pretty big one...it doesn't appear to fit into a round socket (that is, the type of socket that's found in nearly every single household in the Western world and beyond).

Why wouldn't it fit. It doesn't need to contact the outlet on all sides, just at the bottom and the top rim. It's threaded properly, I'm sure it would fit just fine. I think these are awesome.

Internet is written with the capital letter in a sentence, by the way. And hundredths are written not with a point but with a comma. This is according to the standard. And actually everything is very good..!!
