Treventus' ScanRobot: An automatic book scanning machine 8 Sep 2008
Treventus' ScanRobot is an automatic book scanning machine that...er...automatically scans books. What's special about it, however, is that it's been developed for the digitisation of huge book inventories and can therefore turn pages automatically and scan an entire book without manual intervention...and at a rate of 25 pages per minute to boot!
Of the two videos below, we recommend that you watch the second if you want to get a good idea of how the product works in action. We've only included the first because it is the cheesiest promo video we've seen since the 80s!

I know it's faster than doing it by hand but it still seems slow.
(Does it only work with hardbacks? Can't imagine that a paperback would stay open in the right position.)

Internet is written with the capital letter in a sentence, by the way. And hundredths are written not with a point but with a comma. This is according to the standard. And actually everything is very good..!
