The Vertical Bed 19 Sep 2008

Jamie O'Shea has been enjoying a series of naps on the streets of Manhattan thanks to his latest invention: The Vertical Bed. Whenever he feels like nodding off, he simply unpacks the bed from his suitcase, anchors its frame above the nearest subway vent (for the warmth purposes), straps himself into its harness (so that he doesn't fall over), closes his eyes and drifts off into slumberland. To ensure that he isn't disturbed by passers-by, he wears noise canceling headphones and double-mirrored sunglasses that are padded with little cushions to keep his eyelids closed. And in case of bad weather, he clips an umbrella to the frame for shelter!
