Touch Sight: A camera for the blind 14 Aug 2008

...I know what you're thinking: "A camera for the blind? That's crazy!"...but hear us out...The Touch Sight camera - designed by Chueh Lee at Samsung - has a flexible Braille display that reproduces the photographs it takes in glorious 3D, thereby allowing blind photographers to "feel" them. The camera also grabs 3 seconds of sound when a photo is taken to give photographers a more sensory experience of the moment they have captured (the sound constitutes an auditory reference that helps users manage their photos too!).
