Civilised Swiss gangsters 11 Aug 2008

Three days after Peter Hossli was pickpocketed on the mean streets of...er...Baden, he received an email from a local postmaster. The Post Office had found his wallet in an official yellow Swiss mailbox. Needless to say, all the cash was gone. But his ID card, credit cards and even his collection of old receipts had been left untouched. "Thieves do this very often", the postmaster told him. "They take the money and throw the wallet in the next mailbox." As Peter says: "Wow. One has to be impressed by Swiss thieves. Where else in the world do gangsters show empathy for their victims? In Switzerland, thugs keep the money but make sure to get everything else back to the rightful owner."
