The talking first aid kit 1 Jul 2008

You probably have a first aid kit at home, work and, maybe even, in your car - but if it came to the crunch would you actually know what to do with it? In an emergency situation, you might find that the details of that health and safety course you took a couple of years ago don't immediately spring to mind - and guessing what to do with all those bandages, ointments and plasters in a state of blind panic is unlikely to result in your patient receiving the most effective care possible. It's for these reasons that IntelligentFirstAid developed its "Talking kit".

The materials contained within the Talking Kit are separated into individually-labeled packs - each one designed to treat a specific type of injury (e.g. "Bites and stings", "Eyes", "Head and spine", "Shock" etc.) and colour-coded to facilitate fast indentification in times of crisis. What's best about this product however, is that each pack also contains an "audio module" which, at the squeeze of a button, calmly narrates step-by-step instructions for managing the injury in a clear voice. The playback can even be paused, stopped and repeated to ensure that vital steps aren't missed. What a great idea!
