A boingboing reader spotted this novel vending machine en route to work in the East Village NYC. The text reads as follows:
"The funometer. Looking for something fun to do? 50 CENTS PER IDEA. Plus: a toy maybe and map (if fun idea requires travel) and who knows what else?"

There are loads of fun things to do in NYC. If you need a machine to provide you with inspiration, you're a pretty sad (or clueless) individual.
