NOVA: Zurich's giant 3D LED display 6 May 2008

Check out NOVA - a giant 3D LED display that's taken over the main hall in Zurich's train station. Developed by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich to celebrate its 150th anniversary, NOVA consists of a whopping 25,000 "lightballs", each one containing 12 LEDs. These lightballs allow NOVA to display more than 16 million colors and 25 images per second. More photos are available from tom29ger's Flickr photostream.
