HotelChatter has a great article on the best geek hotels in the world. Our favourite is The Pod Hotel in New York - aka "The Facebook Hotel" - where guests can log into a bespoke social networking site called The Pod Community and arrange to hang out with others who are staying at the Pod at the same time. Forums include "Drink with Me", "Eat with Me", "Shop with Me" and "Go Out with Me". As someone who once spent a whole year living in a hotel (sans colleagues), I can immediately see the value of this idea.
