I love it when sites show a little personality, however I'm not sure that 404 pages are the appropriate place to do this. When encountering these pages, users are likely to be upset and annoyed at not being able to do whatever it is that they are visiting the site to get done. Humour is unlikely to be appreciated in these circumstances.
