New York City Waterfalls 18 Jan 2008

Yesterday, Olafur Eliasson - the Danish-Icelandic artist best-known for installing a massive sun in the Tate Modern - announced plans to create a series of free standing waterfalls in the East River. The waterfalls will rise 60-70 feet in the air and be visible from the area around Seaport, Brooklyn Heights and from the Governors Island Ferry. Sounds incredible...

Sounds amazing...His waterfall in Dundee was pretty cool too.

From the looks of it the only place you will be able to see all the waterfalls from land is the end of the South Street Seaport. Circle Line and New York Water Taxi are promoting boat rides in the area. More info on the waterfalls are at www.newyorkwaterfalls.com

Ok, so that's insane, it looks very nice though, I wonder how much did it cost. I'd prefer going on some Alaska cruises to see there some waterfalls!
