The NRDC's ambient persuasive tea cup 6 Nov 2007

The surface of this awareness-raising enviro-cup is printed with a second layer of heat-sensitive ink. As you can see from the image above, when hot water is poured in, the sea level (as printed on the heat-sensitive layer) gradually rises to consume the iceberg. It's intended to make owners think about the environmental consequences the next time they over-fill the kettle.
(This NRDC mug reminded us of a cross between the The WWF's ingenious paper towel dispenser and Shi Yuan's heat-sensitive wallpaper).
