Chinese culture vs. German culture 12 Oct 2007

Liu Yong, a Chinese who was educated in Germany, produced these infographics to illustrate his observations on the cultural differences between the two nations. The idea is to help foster a better understanding between the East and West.

The left (blue) side refers to German culture, and the right (red) side refers to Chinese culture.- in case you were wondering.

Anger / displeasure

The German half of the graphic shows a man frowning at the thought of another person's displeasure. The Chinese half shows a man laughing at the thought of another's displeasure.

Queues

The German half shows people queuing in  a line. The Chinese half shows people swarming around a counter.

The Boss

The German half shows a boss as being slightly taller than his subordinates. The Chinese half shows a boss who is gigantic compared to his subordinates.
