The Safe Bedside Table 24 Aug 2007

A table that can be converted into a club and shield to attack intruders with. The table top becomes the shield and the stand becomes the club.

The Safe Bedside Table was designed by James McAdam in response to a recent report that found that 50% of Londoners keep some sort of makeshift weapon close by while they sleep (for self-defence purposes). When not in use it looks like your average bedside table but during a break-in it can be converted into a club and shield combo. Burglars beware!

Beautiful. You've just gotta hope that you get to it before the intruder does!

Pesonally I think it is an awsome idea, but I prefer something more reliable for fending off intruders, like a shotgun

One small flaw, It,s dark at night so a built in flash light to blind the intruder and help you locate them would be great addition.
