"More shine for your floors" 23 Apr 2007

These transparent sheets were slipped under Argentinians' front doors to advertise Meastro Limpio floor cleaner. When people arrived home from work that night, the ads made them wonder how much shinier their floors could be.

That works really well...but only if the people have tiled floors at the front door. Or you could have shiny carpet? :-)

Yep - it works well in a hot country like Argentina, where people are likely to have tiled floors, but wouldn't work so well in colder countries like the UK where carpets rule.
(Although a shiny carpet would be pretty impressive ;-)

I wonder how many people slipped and fell when they came inside, instead of noticing the shiny plastic.
But I think having a hard-surface floor, whether it is tile, wood, laminate, linoleum, etc, is more common in the entryway regardless of the floor material used in the rest of the dwelling.
