This looks like something a certain company from Cupertino could (should) very well pick up. Especially at conferences I'd like to recognize my MacBook's 'fruity glowing plug' at the powerspots.

Does indeed look awesome, but to many low-cost appliances it would add some extra costs, that the producers are unlikely to bear.
But then, it might be very well worth the few extra cents to distinguish your product from the competition.
Should be a "must" on everything above $100.
