Firefox 3 to support offline applications 13 Feb 2007
From Read/WriteWeb:
"Robert O'Callahan from Mozilla, who is based in NZ but drives the rendering engine of Mozilla/FireFox, spoke about how Firefox 3 will deliver support for offline applications. This is significant because you'll be able to use your web apps - like Gmail, Google Docs & Spreadsheets, Google Calendar, etc - in the browser even when offline."
As you can imagine, this announcement won't please Microsoft and other established desktop software vendors.

Wow - this is great news. What's the betting the IE won't support offline apps in version 8 ;)

This is really big news, offline syncing will be the next big web 2.0 and must have browser feature by the end of 2007.
Thanks for the post

I totally agree with JT, this is great news. I always use FF before IE, if only other people would do the same.
