As seen during Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, Wouter Scheublin's incredible walking table (personally I think he stole this idea from Borat ;-)

... DB Fletcher's transforming table. Innovative: yes; classy: hmmmm. (This design reminded us of another gag, this time from the legendary Mr. Partridge).
Update: Fans of the walking table may also want to check out Theo Jansen's work. Jansen is a Dutch sculptor who creates strandbeest (or "beach animals") from ultra-light plastic yellow tubes. These skeletal constructions can walk around by themselves, propelled by the wind. The clip below - a BMW commercial entitled "Kinetic Structures" - shows strandbeest in action with commentary from the man himself:
