The BBC reports that Tesco is set to launch its own range of budget PC software "in a move that will pitch the grocery giant against the likes of Microsoft and Symantec". The company will offer six packages including office software, security applications, CD/DVD burning tools and a photo editing suite. Reports that Microsoft will exact its revenge by opening a chain of UK supermarkets are as yet unconfirmed ;)
