Bear witness to Teddy 18 Sep 2006
Takeo Igarashi's Teddy is a Java-based drawing program that takes your 2D sketches and turns them into 3D objects. If you like to doodle, you'll love it. Take a look at the (rather grainy) demo video below to see the application in action or take it for a test drive online (requires Java plug-in). We especially like the intuitive "cross-something-out-to-delete-it" interaction (although it does beg the question: how do you shade something?!).

Not for those who want precision. Nevertheless, i love the way it works. Awesome.

This is fun as hell to use. Reminds me of SketchUp.

This program is amazing. Why hasn't it been made into a real 3D modelling application with high res rendering and exporting options?

Wow! This would be perfect for Nintendo DS. They should snap up the rights.
