Take a look at Long Zheng's demo of speech recognition in Windows Vista (Quicktime plug-in required). Long published this screencast (and this article) in response to an MSNBC article suggesting that the software was suffering from debilitating technical glitches - an article that prompted widespread mindless Microsoft bashing. The technology looks very slick to us - so shame on all those that jumped on the anti-MS bandwagon.
