How gracious of you 14 Aug 2006
The RIAA has sunk to a new low in its attempt to curtail illegal file-sharing. If you thought they couldn't do much worse than tell a student to drop out of MIT to pay off a paltry fine, you were wrong. When one of the people they were suing happened to die earlier this summer, they kindly requested that the case be pushed back 60 days to allow time for the family to grieve...before deposing the dead man's children! For an organisation that is fighting the perception that it's ok to steal from soulless corporations, it sure knows how to make the recording industry seem like a group of soulless corporations.
