Amsterdam-based analytics firm OneStat reports that Firefox has now captured a worldwide market share of nearly 13% (up from 8.7% in April 2005). "It seems that the global usage share of Mozilla Firefox starts to grow rapidly again after a period of no growth" says OneStat co-founder, Niels Brinkmanof, somewhat confusingly.
The report's country-by-country breakdown reveals some remarkable statistics. Firefox usage in the UK and France now stands at around 12%. In the US, it's 16%. In Italy, 20%. Australia, 24%. And in Germany, Firefox commands a truly incredible 39% market share. In your face Herr Gates!
If you're still not testing your websites with Firefox, maybe this will change your mind (Oh, and where have you been for the last few years?).
